LIBRARY RULES
Istanbul Technical University Development Foundation Private Ekrem Elginkan High School’s teachers, staff members and students can benefit from the library services in accordance with the below mentioned rules;
* It is forbidden to enter the library with private belongings such as coats, handbags, etc.
* It is forbidden to enter with food and drinks.
* Mobile phones must be switched off prior to the entrance.
* Noise, disturbance or unseemly behaviour is prohibited.
* It is not allowed to borrow any books or publications without permission.
* In case of any damage or loss of any books, publications or equipment , the user is liable to replace or pay the replacement value of the item.
* Books willl not be placed back on to the shelves but will be left on the tables.
* Information regarding the loaning system will be given later.
NOTICE: The above written items are entire with “Disciplinary Rules” and “Attitudes to be Punished” mentioned in the book named “School Rules”. (Other rules written herein are completely valid inside the library).
DATABASE MANUAL INSTRUCTION
Together with the license agreements signed with the publishers or companies, Istanbul Technical University has subscribed to various electronic sources or has been using trial versions. In case of any violation of the agreement rules by any person will cause temporary disconnection of this database to our University, and in some cases the agreement may completely be cancelled and the database will entirely be closed to our University.
In order to avoid these kinds of problems, you may help us by following the below mentioned rules.
PERMITTED ITEMS :
"Published or electronic copies can be received in a specific number. (i.e. such one outline, a small part of a book, specific pages of one thesis)
"You can use them for private purposes. (i.e. for your research or course)
"You can share the information received from the database with the staff members or students inside the school.
NOT PERMITTED ITEMS :
*It is forbidden to copy multiple publications from the database and to transfer them to a PC by using robotic or equivalent ? firmware systematically for commercial purposes.
*The sale of the database or the distribution of the content is forbidden.
*It is forbidden to transfer the information copied from the database to the others outside the University.
*It is forbidden to distribute the content information or outlines copied from the database via e-mail.
* It is forbidden to make amendments over the records downloaded from the database or to perform equivalent studies by using them.
Notice: It is defined that some of our users are performing systematic download from the database by using some robotic programs. By fixing their IP, the Istanbul Technical University may realize legal action concerning the persons who are performing this kind of violations which may bring the Istanbul Technical University under legal responsibility.
